Miles Greenberg’s multidimensional practice revolves around the exploration of the Black body in space through durational performance, creating sculptural forms and visually arresting gestures that immerse his audiences into a truly unique experience. A protégé of Marina Abramović’s, Greenberg cultivates robust environments anchored by their studies of corporal movements as a modality that informs his practice. These carefully choreographed actions result in the creation of meditational and sensorially-immersive projects where the performances transform these moments into transcendental experiences. The transformation that occurs via his practice serves as a catalyst to push the artistic boundaries around movement, the architecture of space, and centres the Black body and ultimately the African diasporan experience. For AB7, Greenberg presents a new video, specifically created for the biennale.
